Even if the microbiota composition is considered stable during our adult lifetime, differences in its resistance and resilience arise in terms of temporal variations of biodiversity and bacterial relative abundances. This seminar will emphasize some informations on the yet underestimated temporal complexity of the human microbiota.

Valerio Iebba is Professor of Microbiology at the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health at the University of Trieste.
